High Tunnel

High tunnels are popping up all over Kentucky! The Natural Resources Conservation Service is offering a cost share on seasonal high tunnels that has helped farmers take the leap into high tunnel production. We have applied for the high tunnel cost share and are anxiously awaiting the results of the application process. A high tunnel is an unheated greenhouse that helps growers extend the growing season and allows vegetable production year round in Kentucky.
Catch views from a farm in south central Kentucky, Need More Acres, who utilizes high tunnels to grow a variety of vegetables.

For more information about high tunnel production, I’ve listed a few publications that might be helpful.
